Girly Birthday Decor

For Audrey’s birthday dinner I wanted a few decorations that could be saved and used in her bedroom.  Everything I made and used is now in her room!

Pottery Barn Inspired Banner

Here is the banner on Audrey’s barn door headboard in her room.  Super cute!

Shabby Chic Window Pane

Old window panes are so much fun to use around the house.  This pink one came from an old building in downtown Denver.  The homeowners were ready replace it with a new energy efficient window, and I couldn’t be happier with their decision since I am the proud new owner of that beautiful old window.

I added some scrap booking paper behind the glass to create some interest and depth.

Anne Sloan Chalk Paint – Desk Make Over

I found this desk at Salvation Army for about $35.  I loved the lines and the hardware, but the dark red wood color doesn’t match a thing in my house.  So, I decided to paint and distress it.

Here is before-

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Wax and then distressed.  I love the finished product!

After-

Burlap Wrapped Vases

Burlap adds so much texture to simple things!  The vases seemed naked, so I wrapped them in burlap.  Oh, and before I wrapped them I used a stencil, some heatnbond and all brown fabric to add that design.  I love the texture!

Chippy Armoire

Chunky pieces of furniture are my favorites, I just love to re-do large pieces because they make a huge statement!  I have painted a few of these chippy armoires, and every one of them is absolutely perfect in my eyes.  They are shabby chic to the extreme and they pop in any room!  Here is the one I most recently did.

(Sorry the clarity is not so good, I took these pics on my phone)
