The Little Red Barn

Here is it!  The little red barn.  The last several months have been a roller coaster of emotions as we have witnessed our home become what it is today.  We are abundantly blessed and thank our Lord Jesus for providing and allowing us to to experience his joy and blessings.  Our home has been loving called “The Barn” during the entire renovation, so it seems appropriate to continue to use it’s new nickname.

Meet The Barn!  (We still need to landscape and finish several small projects both inside and outside.)

Painting and decorating our little red barn has been a dream!  It is by far one of the most fun things I have done in a long time.

The first floor is our living area.  It is completely open and airy.  The kitchen and dining room and family room all lead into each other.  It’s prefect for life with young kids and entertaining.  Here are pictures of our first floor.

Here are the exact before and after pictures to give you an idea as to what specifically has changed.

Steve and I want to say a big THANK YOU to every single person who helped us out.  We have been blessed by all of your friendships and appreciate all of your help whether it was helping paint or trim stuff or watching our kids or during moving day or simply encouraging us in the right direction.  Hugs to you all!

There will be many more posts and pictures to come as I finish decorating the bedrooms and bathrooms and everything else imaginable.  We also have an amazing spiral staircase and a fun hidden storage area that I cant wait to show you.

Also, see the last posts so you can see ALL of our before pictures:)

Here are some FABULOUS Linky Parties-  (I am still trying to figure out how to actually add the party buttons!)

The Little Red Barn Before

We did it!!!  Our barn home is complete!  We are so excited to be living in God’s blessing.

It started when we found some land in Black Forest and fell in love.  Little did we know that there was an old barn right across the culdesac waiting for some TLC.  Our neighbor met us for coffee and suggested we take a look at the barn.  Thank goodness we did!  From the moment I saw it, I knew it was meant for us. Our realtor went to work and we purchased the land and the barn!

Several months later with the help of an AMAZING contractor, Matt from Craftsman Custom, the barn renovations began!

Here are all the before pictures.

We believe the Barn was built in the 60′s as a real barn.  Then over time someone attempted to renovate it into some sort of storage shed and efficiency apartment.  Clearly  it was completely trashed and unlivable when started.   Vision, patience, hard work, and Craftsman Custom made it possible!
