I wanted some really cute window panels, but everywhere I looked the cute ones were way out of my price range.  So, I decided to get a little crafty and make some of my own!  I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

I am not great with the sewing machine, so I wanted to sew as little as possible.  I knew that sheets have no rough edges, so off to Wal-mart for super cheap sheets.  I bought 3 white flat twin sheets, each for only $4!!!  Score!

The sheets were a little long, so I cut off a few inches from the bottom and hemmed them.  Then I took a pink sheet that came with the bedding set and cut it to fit the area of the white sheet I wanted it to overlap.  Once it fit I pinned it in place.

I sewed it into place.

I cut a little slit in the top of the sheet and put the rod through it.  Wha-La!  Beautiful window panels, and you would never know that they are made from sheets!
