This project wasn’t a huge untertaking, but since I love to repurpose just about anything I figured I would take a few minutes to make a little change.  I have had this little shelf for years and years.  I have looked at it so much that I became tired of it’s look and decided it needed a little fresh paint and design.

I used black Rustoleum spray paint and sprayed the entire surface.  Twice.  Then I used  Modge Podge (from Hobby Lobby) to adhere a thick piece of decorative paper.  I was careful not to spread the MP too thick so that the paper would not get soft, and I only applied it to the back of the paper, not the front.

Wha La!  Simple and fast makeover.  Originally the shelf was in my bathroom, but since it loks brand new I decided to use it as a key holder right by the garage/back entry door.

That looks so pretty! Black and white is always a classic. I want to do something with all of that wonderful scrapbook paper I see since I don’t scrapbook!

Great job. I liked it before, but really like it now.
