I have spent a decent amount of time on this table. I started it while my grandparents were staying with us, and my grandma shared some of her furniture secrets with me. I must have inherited the creative gene from her!
Here is before.
Here is after. I love it!
First I sanded the top down to the raw wood.
Then I covered the top with wrapping paper and primed the ugly green. For this step I used my brand new paint gun!!! It was wonderful to use! For primer I used zinsser water based primer. The paint was antique white by valspar. I did three coats of paint after the primer was dried.
Next I stained the top black, two coats. I finished using Minwax Polycrylic as the top coat.
The hardware is from Lowes. I think it makes it look sophisticated.
I think it looks great in my dining room!
Honestly, that beautiful piece would look gorgeous anywhere
You did great, it looks like you did get Grandma’s creative genes. Thanks for sharing with us at the Paisley Passions linky party. Oh and I “followed” your blog!
Wow, what a lovely table. I can hardly believe it’s the same one!
I love it! I just finished a table with dark stain on the top and whit on the bottom. I just love the contrast!
It looks gorgeous! I actually loved it in the before picture too! =)
You did such a great job! I’ve just started following your blog. Thanks for sharing

That looks wonderful!
Looks great! Do you have a poster picture of the canvas art that is above the table? It looks nice from the part that you showed.
Hello. I see that you don’t update your page too often. I know that writing content is boring and time
consuming. But did you know that there is a tool that allows you
to create new articles using existing content (from article directories or other pages from your niche)?
And it does it very well. The new articles are unique and pass the copyscape test.
You should try miftolo’s tools
